Gateway, CO - First Annual Dolores River Disc Golf Tournament

GRAND OPENING for the new Dolores River Disc Golf Course located in beautiful Gateway, Colorado, at the Gateway Canyons Resort. (http://gvdiscgolf.org/events/dolores_river2009.php)

You do not want to miss this tournament. The prizes are killer, the cash for pros is sick and best of all it's a C-Tier PDGA Approved tournament.
Gateway Canyons have kicked in a lot of sweet prizes. You will not be disappointed, so get signed up as soon as possible, only the first 45 sign ups get a players package.

The course plays along the amazing Dolores River through aged cottonwoods and sandy beach terrain.

Camping is also available. Please review the files from the front page news event for the rules and regulations regarding camping at the park.

So I'm thinking about maybe going to this tournament in a few weeks.

Its almost 4 hours away and it would be my first solo tourney but what the hell, Its probably my last chance of the summer.

I figured I would post it here in case anyone in the area was interested and hadn't heard about it yet.

Sounds like fun. I will have to consult the wife tomorrow to make sure she doesn't have other plans for me that weekend. Any idea what rooms at the resort are going for?

I don't yet. I'm at the same stage you are though, having to "make sure" with the girlfriend.

If we do go, I'm pretty sure we would tent camp on site instead of stay at the resort. We do a lot of camping anyway so car-camping there would be really easy (weather permitting).
