It's nice to see Idlewild back on top where it belongs! (on top rated courses list)

A few that deserve it are missing, probably because of their geographical isolation. I can't imagine why Charlie Vettiner is anywhere near that list, but for the most part it looks good right now!

Courses now require a minimum of 11 reviews to be eligible for the top 10 list which changed the list considerably. Prior to that, it was 5 reviews.

Highbridge Courses?
Blue Ribbon Pines?

Amen. When will MN/WI DG get the respect it deserves?

Haven't played blue ribbon pines, but Wisconsin is top 5 states, hands down. Highbridge Hills, Stevens Point area, Madison area, Tower Ridge, Sandy Point..etc. Most of those courses put the top course of half the other states to shame.

Hey, Innovadude, Where would you rate the Fort Worth area? Just curious.

I agree with almost all of what you said, but Madison area??? Ive played a few courses there, and wasnt really impressed (vallarta, elver park). which courses were you referring to? Vallarte is nicely maintained, but not technical enough for my liking (plus little terrain & no water) just A little too easy

Have you played the new back 9 installed in Rock River dgc?

I think that the "Top Rated Courses List" should be taken as a general guideline and not taken too seriously. I'm sure that any course on that list is a top course and well worth playing. But keep in mind that the number of reviews plays a big role because 1) it takes 10 reviews to get on the list (and rightly so), 2) If two courses are tied in rank then the one with the most reviews is ranked higher.

It's only right that the best courses should get the most reviews because people love them and are passionate about them, so that's a good thing. However, one thing that this list shows is how many people in a region are on DGCR. The more people on DGCR who are within playing distance of a course the more reviews it will get. With MI when you combine that it's #9 in the U.S. in population with >10 million people, and a passionate disc golf state you'll get lots of MI reviews. Thus you should get the best MI courses on this list.

P.S.- My all time favorite course, Renaissance in Charlotte NC has a 4.43 avg so it should get on this list when it gets up to 10 reviews.

As a large metro area vs. other large disc golf metros? Bottom half.
