I am a new member to d.g.c. review and would first like to say hello to all. I was wondering if anyone in the area has played the M.C.C. course yet and compared to Ellison park or Chili Disc golf club. I was also wondering if they still have the 54 hole tourney's at ellison, black creek and chili as when i used to play(had to take break for personal reasons)I actually took 2nd in the novice or amature divisions back when Dave Thomas was running things. I am Back however and have played a few times this year at Ellison and Chili which by the way felt so good to get out there and play a sport that i love. So if anybody can give me some insight in comparison i would appreciate it. Oh and by the way .........if someone would like to play sometime give me a shout. Thanks for Reading and keep on flyin':D
MCC is actually quite different from both Chili and Ellison. A few of the differences that come to mind are water comes into play a few times at MCC and a lot of the back 9 takes place through a pretty heavily wooded area. You won't find any hills to speak of at MCC either. I'm actually a fan of the MCC course as it brings some challenges that the other local courses don't offer (namely, over the pond shots). The closest local course you could compare it to would be Parma since both courses offer a good amount of open and wooded holes. I do have pictures of MCC and Parma on the site so you can try to get an idea of what to expect by checking those out.
As for the tournaments, I'm not too sure what is going on with those. I know there is one tomorrow at Ellison but you could get more info at the local club site (http://www.discgolfrochester.com).
Also, welcome to the site :D

by now I am sure you've played MCC. It is a nice course with some water hazards. It is often a slippery mud hole. I see you play black creek, there are much better courses in your area. Parma and Basil are better quality as well as the famous duo of Ellison and Baker. Sweden Town Park in brockport is also better than Black creek, but it is HEAVILY wooded and hole 1 is a turn off. Enjoy playing Western NY.
