How far can you throw a mini?

I recently played a smaller unsanctioned tourney which was a lot of fun. In between rounds there were some skill games, one of which was a "Longest drive with a mini" competition. Each player got three throws with the mini of their choice. I ended up winning with a throw of 186' 2" using one of those 4.5" minis. My throw landed on the upside of a hill and possibly would have glided further if the ground had been flat.

Anyway I was wondering how good that toss really was, if anyone else has distance numbers for mini drives...?

What kind of grip did you use? My friend said you they can easily be thrown 200 feet. He showed me a grip: Thumb on top of disc and index finger over the thumb, the other three fingers are stacked underneath the disc. I've never tried to launch my mini, but 186 sounds pretty good.

That sounds like the type of grip that I used. Just felt natural that way. I tried to get lots of wrist snap. Minis are hella-understable so you have to release them almost vertical.

did she get mad? I threw one at my wife from like 6 feet and the rim landed on her hand on a knuckle or something and she was almost in tears. ha ha. i can't imagine what she'd do if i hit her in the head!
