I'm visiting my friend in Chicago this coming weekend. We will be there only one day, but I'd like to take him to play a round of disc golf. He lives only a few blocks from Wrigley field (home of the Chicago Cubs, booyah!). Can anyone recommend a course to play that is somewhat close? He goes to school at Northwestern, so anywhere in that general area (Northwestern/Wrigleyville) would be great.

There's not much to speak of in downtown Chicago. This 9 holer might be your best bet, it has solid looking reviews. If you want to play anything above average you'll have to get out to the outer suburbs. Be forewarned that nearly all northeast Illinois courses are going to be flat and relatively open.

I might have to hit up a course on my way to Chicago from Fort Wayne or on my way back home. Any suggestions for courses on highway 30? I was thinking maybe the new course in Pierceton at the ball golf course.

South Bend has two great courses in George Wilson and Rum Village, but I'd hit up Rogers Lakewood Park in Valpo.

I'm checking out Rogers Lakewood Park right now. Might have to give that course a go. Of course I gotta run it by the wife.

You might check out the course in Munster, as you come into the city. The course is right off the interstate ( I80-94) Get off south on Calumet Ave. Take the first left, I think it is Riverside Drive. Its called Matt Lovesko DGC. I say check it out as you drive into the city because Munster got hit pretty hard with flooding this summer and the course parallels the Little Calumet River. Its literally 2 minutes off the expressway. If it is in good shape you will find that it is about a 45 minute drive from Wrigleyville on a Saturday morning.

That all depends on your definition of par.

Thanks trifocal. I probably won't get to play with my friend on Sunday when we're hanging out, if I do we'll probably just play at the 9 hole college course in downtown that was first mentioned. On saturday I might hit up the course in Valpo and Munster.
