Yeah, we played the three Joliet courses that you saw, we hit another one up beforehand, and then the wife and I played a glow round in Lombard . I was playing out of my mind, too, putting has been insanely better lately. Just signed up for the PDGA; it was that good!

Indeed, WCG is all about the Wiscy. I think he and tallpaul have played a bunch up there, so I imagine we'll meet up at some point for sure.

Oh man... QCA this weekend sounds like a freaking awesome time. I asked Lindsay about it last night and she gave the approval. She is in the process of shopping for a new car, otherwise I think it is a done deal. I will be sure to keep you posted, when would you have to know for sure? I can just go by myself if need be too, heh heh heh.

man you guys are troopers. goddamn 97 holes, what a feat! Ozark is actually down just north of Rolla, MO. About 2 hours from stl. A long trip for me and a hell of a haul for you. Plus I learned this weekend that only ozark will be played, not atikas. So I might wait to do both. There will be a trip down there at some point with the traveling LAKERS so I'll probably wait till then, and that's when you guys should come down IMO, bc the LAKERS are a blast to play with. I'll keep you posted on that.

Should be a fun trip up to Winter Park, tallpaul and a bunch dgcr folks are going to be up in the appleton area that weekend too, you should definitely consider hitting that area one of the days.

Let me know if you want to go to the qca this weekend, I can head up and show you around and give you a place to stay.

Nice, nice. I like the breakdown of the courses, there are definitely a ton that I have to see in the state. We had a gigantic DCGR meetup this weekend, there were 12 people that showed up! Lindsay and I ended up playing 97 holes on Saturday, and I did another 54 today. Phew.

Halloween weekend we are probably going up by Winter Park in Kewaunee, staying at WorldsCoolestGuy's cabin. I am really looking forward to that trip, I have heard only amazing things about the courses up there.

As far as this weekend, is that ozark mtn thing down in St. Louis? We might be able to do a quad cities trip but St. Louis is probably pushing it, maybe not though? Shoot me some info if you are serious, maybe I can persuade Lindsay.

oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, dave mac is having his ozark mtn tourny next weekend. Only ozark is being used though, not akitas run. Come on down for some crazy extreme hill golf man

Oh and let me know in advance when you guys want to spend a weekend in the quad cities, I'll come up and show you around and possibly hook you up with a place to stay.

Hey Alan, thanks again for showing me around the joliet area...I had a really good time. As far as where the courses fall into the IL courses for me, I would say that Highland falls somewhere near or 6th or 7th in the state, it didn't crack my top 5 (foundation, mcnasty, camden 2, rockspring, wildcat) and I have a big thing for woodland park in collinsville from the longs, and the original lincoln park from the longs. And it's been 8-10 yrs since I played Sinnissippi and Anna pages, I guess I'll just have to play Highland again to decide. West park probably falls somewhere in the middle of my IL 18 hole courses, probably slightly lower than prospect and camden 1 in the qc, slightly higher than effingham and the blormal courses.
And Trinity slightly lower than West, probabaly in my 75th percentile or so. I need to go back and rank my IL courses, I've probably thought the most about the top ten, but beyond that it gets a bit hazy.

What's going on man? Just wondering how you liked the best that Chicagoland has to offer (more or less). I am curious to see how they stack up to the many, many other Illinois courses you've played and I haven't, like Camden and such.
