I'll take a crack at addressing the abstract. I skimmed the summary, but if Gregory Paul's abstract does even a mediocre job at capturing the essence of his paper, it is not worth my time since I do not adhere to the theology espoused......since the Bible does not espouse this:
Quote:
(Billions upon billions of children die) before reaching the age of mature consent. Adults
who have heard the word of Christ number in the lower billions. If
immature deceased humans are allowed into heaven, then the latter
is inhabited predominantly by automatons.

Let's call that part of a human that goes to heaven the ZZ. How do we know the maturity level of an infant's ZZ? From where does the idea that an infant's ZZ is an automaton originate? Where in the Bible does it explain where the ZZ comes from, what sin does to it, how does mature consent relate to it, how is it tied into the mind and the emotions and the spirit?
If someone validates from the Bible that what the author espouses is how it works, I will provide further explanation on how to handle the "problem of evil and suffering".
You see, I suspect that what we have here is a 25 page long strawman argument. So, can someone please explain to me how this is not a strawman argument?
