Just wanted to give Zenbot some props for winning the OG Amateur weekly this past Tuesday.
He shot a -5 and took first place!

What Chris isn't telling you is that I only birdied easy holes.

The other thing I didn't mention is that he didn't bogey any holes, even the hard ones!

In all truth, a job well done sir. Congrats.

So, my handicap for the OG Am Weekly was -5 strokes.
This past Tuesday I shot a -4.
So, in one round, I was able to place third without my handicap and also was able to completely negate my handicap.
Finally I was able to play a round at my home course during a tourney that is representative of my actual skill!

What was working?
Positive Mental Attitude!

My only error was a 5 on hole #3. Had I not made that error I would have taken 1st place with a -6.
What I did different was not to let my mistakes on hole #3 drag me down. I so often have a tendency to let stupid mistakes dictate how I play the rest of the round. I realized that the only shot that matters is the next one...
I stayed positive and played smart and the results speak for themselves!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Zen...
GW, the old guy who runs the Am Weekly, told me the other day that your payout was too low. He says that he owes you more money.
If nothing else the next time you play you play for free.
