SO, do we need to do something for advertising? I'm pretty excited to do this thing!

Hey I'm in St. Louis right now, but would really like to play in the tournament on the 15th. Does anyone know if there's someone you can call to pre-register for the tournament?

Just call the centre to register...do it in advance.

Im a student down at Rolla. I would like to get in on the ace race but do not know who to email to get registered. I also think its great Rolla has their own group! Look forward to seeing some of you on the course.

I went to the front desk, and they had tons of issues even finding the singup info. Sounds like everyone involved has really dropped the (soft)ball with this thing. Regardless, they said to spread the word to other telling them to still go to the front to sign up. Hopefully we'll have a decent turnout.

Also, has the date moved up for League? I thought I saw something stating that it started on the 24th.

No. The info went to print before the spring league with the UMR issues, so it has an old date. Before the spring league I didn't even look at the UMR schedule. We decided to move the date back for the UMR students a long time ago, but the Fun Times still says the 24th. Good luck getting anybody at the front desk to know what is going on, so I'm sure people will get the wrong date and show up on the 24th no mater what we do at this point.

I'm still in Michigan hoping to get some info about this weekend as well. I won't be back in Rolla until Saturday.

Just got a call from a guy at the parks department and he told me only a handful of people signed up for the tournament on Sunday. Anyone know if any others will be joining?

Here are my thoughts so far. It looks like right now we need the UMR players to make things go, so Summer events are probably a bad idea. Also, the parks department can't support us while they are running all these softball tournaments. I understand the pressure they are under and why they choose to put so much emphasis on softball, but the bottom line is that the support isn't there in the Summer. So for next year at least I'd say Spring and Fall events.

Also, Sunday doesn't seem to work. It the other places I've run events we have had a blue-collar core of players, and they usually had time and 1/2 Saturday jobs they had to turn down to play disc golf. Those guys preferred Sunday events. Here, it looks like church is the big deal and people want to play on Saturday.
