So, now that the course is up and running, will we ever be able to do a league there? Do we have some one in the league already that can talk to the committee to see if they will have tournaments or league out there any time soon?

I really don't know how we could go about this to start making things happen, but it would be great if they got some functions going there!

I'm not sure what is going on there. They have been focused on getting the course in the ground, and from what I gathered they basically were going to worry about events after they got the course in the ground. Considering they were up against the Carnival when the course went in, I'm not really surprised that we have not heard anything at this point.

I'll try to touch base with them again and see if I can find out anything.

The Lion's Club is still focused on the course. According to what I was told they won't even begin to talk about how a league or tournament might work until next month at the earliest.

I wnet and played alone on Saturday. They moved a ton of dirt, and scraped out a bunch of roots and stumps...the course was actually pretty clean. I really like this course, and it was tough...it will be awesome in the fall and winter! I'm not even going to post my score...

Wooded courses like Lion's Club are the bee's knees in the Winter. You can duck out of the wind, and the underbrush will be a lot less scrubby. After spending last Winter standing on the tee for #6 at Ber Juan wondering where exactly the wind was going to set my drive down, Winter golf at Lion's Club is going to be great.

So the Lion's Club has rules. So far as I can tell, your average disc golf league and/or tournament violates several of their rules. There is some work to be done before we can run anything formal out there.

Having said that, they don't care if we start having a league out there. To me the logical thing to do is have a drop-in league that meets at a set time, like say 10:00 am on Saturday or something like that. You can play singles or random draw doubles, whatever you want to do. If you want to keep running points you can do that. So that is doable, somebody just needs to decide what they want to do.

If it falls on me to do, it won't start until kids soccer is over. I'm very open to somebody else doing it. VERY open. I can help figure out the details if somebody wants to run it but is just not sure what to do.

How bout we plan on this thing starting as soon as the LC league is done? It could be Sat mornings---although I am a big fan of Tuesday nights.

From what I hear about the LC rules this league would have to be for no money correct?

Saturday mornings would be much better for me.

Tuesday night in the winter=after dark. I'm a big fan of daylight.

LC rules=no money, no disc sales, no a lot of things you would take for granted would happen.
