Towne Lake is probably one of the top 10 courses in the area. Nevertheless, it's one of my least favorite courses in the area. I've just had some unpleasant times there. It's not the course. I'm heading down to Georgetown for the Rivery Park Pro Am on Sunday, so I can't offer to join you. I hope we can play a tourney some time.

VERY good course! Not much elevation (except for 2-3 holes), but otherwise covers all the bases.

A few tips though (probably covered in course reviews, but just in case): 1) bring a few water discs and/or a golden retriever...the creek that comes into play on many holes is pretty deep in spots and the creek walls are very tall and steep. 2) watch out for snakes in the high grass...a good friend was bitten by a copperhead a few years ago. 3) be prepared to bring your technical game...lots of woods to navigate on most holes.

Ive only played it on weekdays, so I have no idea what the crowds are like on Saturday. Thankfully, most of the casuals/one-discers usually stick to the pitch and putt course across the highway (Alex Clark).

    Enjoy!

Ouch, that's a long time off too! My legs (feet/ankles especially) have always been my weak point, so I'm surprised my arm went first.

I'm planning to get some good lower body training in during my downtime. I'll admit I've gotten really slack at walking/running beyond whatever I get on the course, and by the middle of an average 18 hole course, I'm really dragging. That does nothing to help on tee shots, and I can see how I blew out my arm trying to compensate.

No problem Buddie, I'm glad I could help. I like the profile pic, looks like a fun day. My schedule for now is open for the 26th and I should be able to make it out there and I will be in contact before then. Is your ankle feeling better since we met?

    Take care.
