Ive been super-swamped at work lately. I'm way behind on my reviews, and keep playing new courses and getting further behind. Im sure when everything closes in the winter and its a total whiteout, Ill have to turn to reviews to satisfy my craving. As of now, have played the following courses, but still need to review:
    Highbridge Gold
    Highbridge- Woodland Greens
    Highbridge- Chestnut Grove
    Highbridge- Granite Ridge
    Plymouth Creek
    Crown College
    Elm Creek Preserve
    Volrath Park
    Jaycee Quarry Park
    Abendeshein

HAve the highbridge ones written on paper, somewhere, wanted to make sure I started and finished each in one go. they are so good, I need to write a review that will do them justice. So ive been stalling, as I continue to scribble more notes. This weekend, this weekend itll get done (we'll see). You're an inspiration to us all, mike. Keep fighting the good fight

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!! Is Parkside in all winter?

    Hey, I heard two things
    1) Baraboo Lions Club DGC is installing concrete pads, as many as they can before the snow comes.
    2) UW-Whitewater added 6 more holes to their course to make it an even 18. Apparently the new ones are better than the old ones, too.

Just wanted to share what info Ive gotten. But 21 holes on Prairieside?!?!? Nice!! They def had the space for it. Ill have to check it out one of these wkends. If we end up heading there at the same time, maybe we can carpool to racine? Let me know, otherwise, dang, you are super-obsessed. I can see it now, harr=first diamond reviewer. Get er done, see if you can get all 48 states played!!

I think it's really funny that you have a couple of the baskets from fontana. That course was so terrible it's nice to know that someone made use of it.

I'd love to play the Prairie Open this year, but I've just had WAY too much stuff going on with my brother's wedding in a few weeks, a baby on the way, and school starting for my son. I played back in 2007 and had a blast! And yes, I'm still lingering at the bottom of the DG food chain, playing rec/int...my game has gotten a LOT better since '07, but somehow that doesn't translate over into competitive play; I still buckle under pressure, so the mental part really throws me off!

Hope you'll still make it out to play and review Cleveland Elementary! I figured you'd get to it if I didn't do something quick, but some might see my review as biased since I helped install it. I still think it's a great learning course, all bias aside!

    it'll be a blast...I just hit 300 on this last trip...now I need to hit 400

As a friend of mine said, "You'll have to play some crappy courses to hit 400"...I told him a crappy DG course beats sitting around in my hotel room

I started putting the courses you listed in my GPS phone

You need good land and money to do that - so I wish, but no. You'd think it could be promoted as an athletic program or something. Side note - one of our junior high feeder schools has temporary baskets that they put out for the kids, so at least it's something.

Ya, true I guess there are alot of potheads at Dretzka Leagues. Keep in mind that I normally play in Madison, which as you mentioned in your reviews, is even worse in that sense, so I guess the crowd at dretzka doesnt seem as bad to me. Plus I really love dretzka as a course.

Good job on the madison reviews. I disagree with your rankings of the three courses, but you are soo right about the lack of maintenance and signage being a problem. Its something that really surprises and dissappoints me that madison, such an active, environmentally conscious city would have people abuse and trash their DG courses so much, and that there are so few courses there, given how much green space is in madison. There used to be signs in both elver and heistand, but they got ripped out of the ground, sadly. It still mystifies me, bc Ive never seen any of the dretzka or brown deer signs vandalized, and they are both pretty isolated. Sad situation in Madison. Theyre working on it tho

Nice. Great to get another TR perspective on the Madison courses. I just finished an INTENSE DG roadtrip with Tallpaul. We started off in Chicago, then crossed the border played all four Lemon Lake Park courses in Indiana, before swinging back for one more indiana and 2 Joliet, IL courses. 9 courses in 3 days for me, even more for them. I'm beat. Took notes on em all, which is good bc I've got a backlog of course reviews to do still from last week, and know I prob wont get to writing the reviews until this wkend.

Its a good problem to have, should push me over into Gold status, with you not far behind. See ya at Dretzka leagues next week (going to brewers game tomorrow with the office)
