HOD 3/2/11
I'll start this one, since I've played this course.
Riney B DGC Nicholasville, KY Hole 8 "The Broken Cobra" Par 3 191' From the tee: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course...5/ee08ceb0.jpg The basket: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course...5/b3b63369.jpg Course Map: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course...5/6213ecde.jpg The most available line is a gentle right turn all the way to the basket. There is a creek, complete with beavers, ~20feet to the left of the fairway, so a bad tree hit and your disc is gonna get wet. Depending on conditions, you might not get it back. |

Annnnddd I'll start:
I throw my Fuse here RHBH. No run up, flat, 8' high, and aimed right at that vine-covered tree in the first pic, so that it turns and follows the fairway. Last time I played this hole, it landed right the tree with the bag leaning against it in the second pic. Next time I play, I'm going to try to get my Magic down the same line, but I think the extra height I'd need to put on it makes it a riskier shot. |
LHBH:
ESP wasp, but would probably throw a few here, hyzer cryztal buzzz, check out the hornet, and also skip a drone up there, depending on how gentle the turn is. |
E Magic, RHBH. Although, I might consider a GL Fuse on an underpowered toss if its really tight.
I appreciate the redundant mando. Like you need one to tell you "Hey. Dont throw in this thick green stuff." |

My lefty friend throws his shark on a slight hyzer. All three of those would probably work, but you would have to aim them different places. The turn is fairly gentle. Look at the very last trees that you can see on the left side of the fairway (the cluster of small ones) - in the second pic, those are maybe 10 feet outside the left side of the frame. Quote:

does anyone else find it funny that there is a MANDO sign left...but it looks like there is no possible way to go around that tree lol unless there is a big RHBH spike hyzer line that the pic doesnt show...
