Post your most recent plastic purchase.

I looked around for a thread like this and couldn't find one. I'm sure there are a few.

Nothing better than ordering some new plastic though and I'd love to see what you guys are getting too.

In before someone says something about the Epic.

waynewf 06-19-2009 12:48 PM

My most recent purchases are
Discwing QK II - Absolutely love it...immediately became my #1 driver
Daredevil Woodchuck - The softest putter out there (softer than Gateway's SSS)...really cool, but I still like my Gateway SSS.
Star TeeRex - Love it....was my #1 until the QK II
Innova Boss - Too much disc for me...I think you've got to be pretty powerful for this one
Innova Groove - Really fun disc, awesome S-curve for a sidearm thrower.
Innova Dart - wanted to try something new for longer and uphill puts....this will come in and out of my bag, but I'll stick with my Coyote and my Gateway putter....

I got a couple Star Destroyers a few monts ago. I got them because Star Destroyer is a thing from Star Wars and I had room for a couple more discs in my bag. The only thing I can get them to do with any consistancy is a long hyzer.

BrotherDave 06-19-2009 01:19 PM

Hey Midnight please let me know how you like the Titanic. I like the magnet a lot but I don't like the pro d or soft ones and have not been able to find a elite Z one. I know you said in a recent post that they are like Magnets but feel like ESP plastic. So I am just curious how they are!

The Titanic is a Magnet in ESP. If you look at the inside rim of the Titanic it says "Discraft MAGNET.

So far I have only played 4 rounds with it, and I love it. I was out putting everyone last Saturday. It flies slightly over stable than the Soft or Pro D, but dosen't ding up like the other plactics. Still looks new.

I carry the Soft Magnet for when I need to park a putter. On a hill, or if I need to throw with a tomahawk or hard hyzer, and I want the putter to put on the brakes. That is the only down side of the Titanic, if it lands on its edge, it will roll.

joegraham 06-19-2009 01:55 PM

I just got 3 R-Pro Boss'. 140, 150, and 161 gram. They BOMB!! Also got 2 R-Pro Aviar 170 and 171g for putting. Real soft and fly real straight! Totally different feel from the Boss. Boss is pretty stiff with only a little flex even being so light.

roadtripstuff 06-19-2009 02:29 PM

Last disc I purchased was a blue pro orc from ChasetheAce. Got to throw it yesterday I love it.

TalbotTrojan 06-19-2009 02:39 PM

I think I am headed over to Discovering the World later today and will let you all know what I get when I get back. I am not sure what exactly I am going to get yet. Any suggestions?

flash86 06-19-2009 03:01 PM

I just picked up three CE Eagles off of ebay for $60. Pretty good deal for three CE discs. Two of them are 9/10 (Barely thrown and small name inked on back) and one has crappy dye job but it was signed by Ken Climo.

flash86 06-19-2009 03:04 PM

And the day before that, I got a 2004 Worlds Super Roc, 2007 Worlds Super Roc and 2006 USDGC Star Roc ("Baby Roc") off of ebay for $20 total. All of them are 9/10 (barely thrown and small name inked on back). Got to love the deals you can find on there!

DiscJunkie 06-19-2009 03:07 PM

All used:
Star Wraith
ESP Crush
Star ExCaliber
Z dyed-Avenger
Z dyed-XS
DX Stingray
#1 Slice
All for $50.
I prefer buying used discs. Somebody else can beat them in for me!!

bayouace 06-19-2009 03:13 PM

Dyed Banger GT bought from HippieDiscDude and a Soft VooDoo in a trade with Camgolfer. ESP Buzzz and #2 Driver from Disc Nation.

NDABRUSH 06-19-2009 03:15 PM

just ordered 2 days ago: 3 T-bird DX. 1 Roc Dx, 1 Orc Dx and 1 viking DX. This is my first of the last 3 listed. I have had a bunch of T-birds like most of us.

jhgonzo 06-19-2009 03:28 PM

175 Star Sidewinder, gold foil Highbridge Gold stamp.

173 ESP FLX Challenger, bought online at Prime Discs, free shipping, super fast delivery...this putter has done wonders for my short game, and I guess my new putting style I began in conjunction with this purchase is a factor as well.

A need a new L4-L5 disc, but those aren't cheap...

ChaseTheAce 06-19-2009 03:33 PM

R Pro Cro 175
CFR Destroyer 175

dx leopard 169
x-out champ teebird 170
dx ontario roc 180
star eagle-x 168

The roc is already slightly worked in, the leopard just needs to find a couple of trees, and the other 2 will slowly work their way in to heavy rotation.

thrembo 06-19-2009 04:16 PM

My recent disc purchases include a flex surge ss (although I prefer my broke in elite z surge as I can throw it farther and straighter) a soft challenger puter wich I absolutely love! ( I recently switched from magnets and apx putters to the challenger, I also have a crysal z challenger) and an elite z purple comet that I'm still trying to figure out. Comets are one of my favorite discs and I really like my green elite x model.

gfellerjm 06-19-2009 05:49 PM

I bought my fiance a 146 g DX Skeeter today. She likes LIGHT discs and is lacking in the stable mid-range area. Last night I bought a Dragon because a couple days ago I through my "throw away disc" into a lake.

Now I'm cleaning out my garage looking for crap to sell so I can make my next purchase.

TalbotTrojan 06-20-2009 01:38 AM

As promised, here is what I got today with my birthday gift certificate to Discovering The World.

R-Pro Aviar
R-Pro Dart
R-Pro Skeeter
Champion Banshee
Champion Starfire

Then I brought the discs home and my roomate wanted to go back and get himself something and since I gave him a disc he wanted to buy me something so I found a Champion Boss X-out. I am pretty stoked about that X-out find.

Haven't ordered much lately, but I just got my 3rd 175g Gateway E-series Voodoo(white). Ordered a 170g Discraft ESP Surge(Tie-dye) about a month ago.

A.Mutt 06-20-2009 03:57 AM

For myself to use I most recently bought a FLX Drone
For my wife it was a 150 Star Leopard

billnchristy 06-20-2009 11:00 AM

Got:
172g clear striker
172g light purple spike

Haven't been able to air the striker out but I am in love with the spike.

osbogosley 06-20-2009 11:23 AM

Got two hundred on Wed. The big surprise was the 159 gm R-Pro Boss. Not overstable! Much more glide than star boss. I can pinch the rim and and slide it out so smooth. Its not so heavy that it comes out too soon. The plastic beats easy but seems to have a memory when exposed to the flame of a lighter. It is easy to repair. I highly recomend it. Larry #3946

[QUOTE=osbogosley;79786]Got two hundred on Wed. Larry #3946[/QUOT

Two hundred as in 200:eek: WOW. I just bought two (2) discs last week, a Star Teebird 174g and DX Aviar 175g.

coast2coast 06-20-2009 12:43 PM

DX classic roc 170. Wish I could find one in pro plastic.

SomeChump 06-20-2009 02:55 PM

I'm so proud. I haven't bought a disc in a month or so. (Of course, my basket arrived yesterday :) )I think my last plastic purchase was a star Orc.
