Just picked up a new Cobra Dx. That disc never let's me down.

waynewf 06-24-2009 11:57 AM

Also just won a Gateway Wizard putter set on Ebay!!!! $18 for a 168 SS, 175 S, 170 SS, and 172 SS. 4 awesome brand new putters for $18!!! Are you kidding me??? Watch out practice baskets, I think I'm about to elevate my putting game to a whole new level.....I hope:)

scarpfish 06-24-2009 12:01 PM

Champ Sidewinder to replace the one I stupidly left on the fairway some months back. Its like orange and stuff.

mmyersdisc 06-24-2009 01:13 PM

lol @ scarp...funny story, We got some brothers locally here that are the same way. They run our best shots and unload there whole bag on a hole and normally forget at least one..even when they know the number they started with...or they will just leave there disc in the fairway after driving...best shot its more tough to remember I guess lol...I left my lucky black innova mini on the ground yesterday :( after that my partner and I kept par'ing...shoulda went back for it! lol

EclipticOne 06-24-2009 04:07 PM

Purple champion San Marino USDGC Roc. Should be here today or tomorrow

KzooKid 06-24-2009 04:54 PM

Well I bought a Comet and loved its flight characteristics but wanted something alittle smaller diameter so I bought a Discraft Hawk and Im literally in love. Im one of those guys who arent crazy about the Roc or the Buzzz which is like blasphemy in the disc golf world but whatever works, works right?

I'm with you man. Hate those guys.

Sooooo... I'm like a fly on a fresh turd right now. Got my new plastic in today and went to a soccer field to practice. Looking and feeling really good about my game. I'm getting them about 30 feet past the goal from the goal on the opposite side. Anyone know how long a soccer field is from post to post? 300 feet maybe? Anyways I just wanted to come here and say how impressed I am with the Odyssey Ultra Long Range Driver. I got it for throwing over water but I've never had a disc fly straighter in my life. I can score a goal almost every time from one end to the other on the field with it. Pretty amazing. Might have this in the regular rotation for long straight shots. I also wanted to talk about the Aerobie Epic. What in the world is going on with that thing? Most unpredictable flight ever. I expected that I guess, but I didn't expect it to go nowhere near as far as my other discs. They way it's made you would think you get extra spin upon release. Not so, as far as I can tell. Tried thumbing it and came up even shorter. I guess I need to spend a lot more time chucking that monster around. Anyways... the Odyssey comes highly recommended from me. If you need a floating disc in the 175 gram weight range then scoop that bad boy up!

I agree, I just started throwing the Buzzz which im liking but not in love with it. In tournaments and leagues they don't ask you how they ask you how many. Doesn't matter what discs you use as long as it works for you.

I second that, I have a Buzzz but not in love with it. Granted it has gotten me out of troubles but my first mid-range disc I reach for is my Star Stingray.

A soccer field is 360 ft. long. Also the only thing up with an Epic is either use it for a thumber or tomahawk or chunk that thing.

SpringDgLover 06-26-2009 01:13 AM

Actually just got my first Buzzz and for me it works great, very straight and very controllable. I've basically thrown every midrange from a Roc to a Shockwave and the one thing that I think is most important for a Midrange is how it releases from your hand and since every persons hand is different, every one is going to love a different mid.

Skankin77 06-26-2009 02:57 AM

Just got an awesome Elite Z Avenger and an Elite X Buzzz from whitechocolate. Cannot wait to test them out :D

krallbd 06-26-2009 08:57 AM

A friend of mine found two champion wraiths on the same course, on the same day...And he had one already. And he keeps all three in his bag now because they fly slightly differently

tamahawk 06-27-2009 12:43 AM

Bought several used discs recently, nothing new though. Picked up a used 169 star beast, quickly becoming one of my favs, and bought a used star eagle today, haven't got to throw it yet.

HolySchnell 06-27-2009 01:01 AM

Just bought two new SS Warlocks on eBay for $15!

Disc Dog 06-27-2009 02:00 AM

Just bought 2 Gazelles and Star Wraith.

However, since the Gazelle has been discontinued I am going to trade them. I don't want to get used to them, then not be able to get one.

If you find you don't like the Star Wraith, I will gladly take it off your hands

Haha. I wish I was driving I was driving 390. My soccer field must be a bit smaller. I know by green lengths that I'm a little over 330 feet on a good drive. I'll have to find a foot ball field to measure for real. Are you in the 101? I was just working with the 101 Cav and a group of Sappers over in Afghanistan. The Cav guys are some of the best soldiers I've ever worked with. Respectively the Sappers had to be the worst.

Peily 06-27-2009 10:39 AM

Got a box in the mail yesterday from DiscGolfCenter.com containing 2 ESP Cyclones (a light blue 173 and a green 173) as well as 3 D Wasps (a light blue 175 and 2 whites 175-176).

Doktor John 06-27-2009 01:39 PM

I just bought 4 new discs:

2 Leopard (Champion Line) 150g

1 Leopard (Champion Line) - 2007 Rosedale Amateur Championships 169g

1 TeeBird (DX Line) 175g

these replace 3 I lost during a weird string of random rounds...one in a lake, one in a briar forest and one over a cliff into a deep wooded ravine...

Haven't lost a disc in a couple of years and then lost three in a week...at least I can keep Innova in business :)

80playedin10states 06-27-2009 02:13 PM

i just dug thru a box and found some more replacements..haven't bought a disc in years..i have enough to last me till the day i die

Hamilton 06-27-2009 04:51 PM

Actually my grandfather was in the 101st Airborne Division in WWII (see mini-series Band of Brothers). I have an immense amount of respect for what those men did then and even more so now for what they do today. I think I read somewhere that a football field is 360 feet from back line to back line and I think that is the same length of a standard soccer field (might be wrong).

Funny money?

mashnut 06-29-2009 04:26 AM

What a lot of us around here call the payout at tournaments for ams. You get a certain amount of "funny money" and you use it to pick out the merch you want.

kcbrez009 06-29-2009 07:15 AM

ESP Buzzz. It's filthy. I love it.

Figure this out: I mostly use Innova drivers and I love them, but I hate the Roc and the Aviar. I am a Buzzz and Soft Magnet man.

(The Roc lovers are lighting their torches and sharpening their pitchforks.)

DiscJunkie 06-29-2009 08:47 AM

I basically throw totally LHBH.
Gotta work on the Thumber, Tomahawk and FH.
Ordered 10 max-weight X-out Evo Rages from Marshall Street's $5 collection, and a T-bone for $61 delivered.
The Rage is Gateway's most overstable driver, perfect for Thumbers, Tommies and flicks.
The Quest T-bone is just a stable driver that I ordered to try.

Rocs are replacing so many discs in my bag.
Buzzz doesn't do it for me. I used to throw one and I still have it, but it hasn't seen play time in ages. I'll probably sell it. It's a sweet Z Dye.

MDethCKR 06-29-2009 12:44 PM

Pink Z-Force
and trade for a beast :)
