2013 PDGA Pro Worlds at Lemon Lake
 

While I still haven't seen any official PDGA announcement about Emporia hosting Am Worlds, I did go on their major events page and see Emporia shown for Ams, and then also saw Lemon Lake, IN (dates TBD) shown for Pros.

How many courses does the Lemon Lake area have ?

It's a little soon. 2010 Worlds was Lemon Lake... Find somewhere else...

Lemon lake has 5 courses. Red,blue,white,gold and sliver. Gold and sliver share the same space but have different basket positions. I've talked to a few people there and they are planning on building green and purple. Don't know much about it though. Lemon lake is hands sown my favorite place to play disc golf. I have have played better courses but have five 3+ star course on the same property is awesome.

Nothing off of LL - great set of courses, but they did host in 2010 , so I agree, spread it around.

Heard they're working on more courses iwithin the park at LL - anyone know what's up with that? Plus, Rogers Lakewood isn't that far, and that's an excellent course. That would only help to make it a great place to host again... in another few years.

Just a hunch, but since the bid documents came out in late April and were due at the end of May (for the 2013 tourneys), I'm guessing they were the only bidder and / or were approached by the PDGA.

Probably a good guess. There hasn't exactly been a lot of bidders for the past few year's world's if I am remembering correctly.

I would bet Lemon Lake were the only bidders. Great venue for an event. I'd hope Valparaiso, IN is added this time. It's another great course and 20 miles away.

awesome! I will definitely volunteer this time and i also think adding lakewood would be sweet!
