Taking a vacation Christmas weekend, unsure where to go. Going to be driving, wanted to stay within 12 hours of Phoenix and be able to hit up a few courses wherever I get as well have some other stuff to do. Any suggestions? :confused:

Santa Cruz is 10 hours 41 minutes according to Yahoo maps. Can't go wrong there.

southern cali is about the only place. Its gonna be freeggin cold everywhere else

Camping at Casitas would be another solid option.

I grew up in North San Diego County so I was thinking something along those lines.. Or visiting family in Davenport, IA but I don't think I'd play a single round in that weather. Any certain courses come to mind when you think San Diego area? Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Vegas. I was just there. Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort DGC and Brian Head Resort DGC were my favorite courses on the trip but those 2 may be closed by the time of your trip. There are 7 or 8 other courses in the Vegas area.

Plenty of other stuff to do there as well. ;)

So decided to go see family in Davenport, IA.. any tips for playing in snow?

Use a spotter. If the disc goes into deep snow on a hyzer.. its lost. That being said, I travel to Santa Cruz around that time to escape the snow and cold here. I'll be at DeLa just after Christmas. You can't beat playing Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay area courses.

Snow in Davenport over Christmas... I give you 4:1 odds. Great choice though, most courses should be in good playable condition, in order of preference. Camden I, west lake, middle park, devils Glen, Camden II.
