Gates County NC short course
 

I have been contacted by Gates county P&R(county north of me). They have recieved a grant for a course on a small piece of property. It will likely be a very short one and wont be a destination course but a course just the same. Probably gonna work with the same crew from Greenville that is doing the design at the Ahoskie Rec Complex. As I get more info and see the property I will update this one.

Been here 2 months and we have 2 courses in the works :thmbup:

Now you just need to move somewhere that people actually live so those courses get played. :p

If you build them they will complain,,,uh,,,they will come.

Stan that part of NC isn't really DG friendly. Just a bunch of peanut farms.

sweet... though my goal to play every NC course is just getting harder and harder.

Also true lol. Im gonna try and create programs through the schools to build support. If you get the kids involved and enjoying the sport then the parents will buy in as well.

When the days get longer and the weather better I'll road trip your way Bravethrower with a cooler of beer. Someone needs to co e take advantage of your hard work!

Be sure we have the courses in by then lol. Still waiting on PARTF $ right now so we can get started on everything in Ahoskie. I think Gates has the $ just have to figure out what they want to do. Ill be honest when I say the quality of this course may be lacking due to lack of space and the idea that was presented to me.

Pretty much every disc golf friendly place started out with just one or two courses in the area (some maybe not even that good) and grew from there.

edit: OK just checked the map, wow = Ahoskie is in the middle of a DG desert, maybe 1 - 2 courses within a 45 min to 60 min drive. :(
