Bradley Williams - Pitch Putt Technique
|
how far were those putts? It's interesting how little overall movement you have. Obviously that changes the further you are away. I would assume. I've been trying to reduce the amount of movement i have until i need it to get the distance, so any insight you can provide would be pretty sweet.

How far out do you use this same putt? I'm guessing the little "step" would follow through when further outside the circle?
Also that was pretty damn impressive seeing you throw for the island over the baseball field last Saturday. Looked like every bit of 500' to me. |
Your nappy beard foot-faulted. No shave November is over! hahaa
Man I could swear when I played with you opening day at Roy G you had your rear foot in-line. You were hitting some monsters out there, 40-50' no problemo. Must be nice! |
Out of curiosity do you curl your index finger under the rim completely or rest the rim or where the bead would be on your first or second knuckle. I have been trying to fix my grip to where I get a consistent release with my putts. I tend to make them go to the left of where I am aiming with a LH release. I like that you putt indoors too it makes me feel less crazy for having a sheet hanging from my archway with a lid in it and tied underneath to make a makeshift basket :D.

Has no one noticed that Wysocki does the same "small step" in his pitch putts? I've never seen anyone call him for it. I can't recall the exact wording of the current foot fault rule, but as long as you don't step beyond the perpendicular line made by the mini, I think you're still legal.

They probably just stand within the 30cm(10") limit you are allowed to be back from your mini to allow the little step. I would assume.

But people love socky and hate bradley, so we will try to discredit his advice even though he is a more skilled player giving it to us for free.
