Finding a Person by PGDA #

I found a disc this past week with a 4 digit number on it and initials. I just checked the pgda website and found the person name but no contact info. Is there any way to find a email or something like that from their pdga#? Thanks

Not directly. You can try a google search of their name and "disc golf", or maybe a Facebook search of that name connected to a disc golfer.

The owner may not care about getting the disc back, since that's all the info he provided, though at least a small effort to reach him is the right thing to do.

Damn, that means they joined somewhere in the late '80s or early '90s! I think, as a matter of fact, that Ron Russell is #9999...

I would love a website that shows what year you joined based on your PDGA number. I'm thinking around #5000 or so is about 1990? The guy who designed the first course I played and sold me my first Disc (a Stingray) for $6 is PDGA #315. He joined in 1976.

How cool is it that the game we play now, still has most of it's original, founding players? We're able to play with the Cy Youngs, and Babe Ruths of disc golf.

So true. I moved to Nashville last year and met up with a group of guys doing a work party one Sunday morning. I offered to help and found out they do it every Sunday. I then found out they (some of the group) were the original designers and builders of 7 Oaks and Cedar Hill Park. Two amazing courses. They were active competitively back in the day and hosted an Am Worlds at one point.
They have been maintaining Cedar Hill since it was built, and anyone that's played it can tell you it's very well maintained.
One of the designers PDGA# is 14xx. Truly a pleasure working and playing with this group!
