Tee to basket
The second hole at the Colorado Mountain College - Glenwood course, aptly known as "The Crater", is one of the signature holes not only on this course but for all of Colorado.
Its tee box is tucked in a cluster of trees above a rocky ledge that overlooks a sizable crater that spreads out before you. The potential for four different basket positions make for a different look nearly every time you visit the course.
The "A" position is very short and is actually at the bottom of the crater at the farthest end. This position is usually reserved for the winter layout.
Position "B" at approximately 315 ft. is at the top of the far edge of the crater but is fairly unguarded. Shots that come up short often make for a difficult blind upshot.
Position "C" sees the basket stay about the same distance out as "B" but move off to the left and into a stand of burly trees. RHBH players will love this position and can get there with a big sweeping hyzer.
Finally, we come to the "D" position. Deep, well guarded and a difficult two for even the most experienced player. This placement requires a very accurately shaped, long distance shot. Throws off line will end up in the difficult to navigate rough that surrounds the basket.
A - Star Aviar Driver (RHBH)
B - KC Roc (RHBH)
C - KC Roc (RHBH)
D - Champ Teebird (RHBH)
A: Wizard, or Teebird FH.
B, C: Teebirds
D: whatever distance driver I'm trying out that day. Today it would be a 160g StarLite Wraith. If it's windy, Teebird, same as hole B.
A: beat x Comet or maybe a Zone forehand
The rest would see a Teebird at various stages of wear depending on the line.
This hole looks like so much fun!
C KC Roc
C: Tournament Stag
B & D: Opto River
