I'd probably consider a roller for this shot. If it were a little shorter, I'd consider a thumber. I only use flicks for upshots... One of these days I'll have the confidence to flick off the tee....

A lot of people here have mentioned Legacy. But even the Legacy fans tend to not mention how awesome the Gauge is. Super straight and glidey with just a little bit of fade. It's the longest...

Yep... I agree. I have found that the Envy holds a very nice anny. So if I have the height, I'll throw that. But, until Axiom comes out with an understable Envy (which will likely replace the...

I totally agree, but I'm considering adding a Zone since I don't like overstable mids.

I've found the same to be true for Patriots, which is really unfortunate. I've bought about a dozen Patriots in an attempt to have a backup for my first/perfect/Red Icon one.

I've thrown 1 legend Patriot (slime green), and it's quite a bit more stable than icon. It has very little turn and a significant fade at 320-340 feet. It's comparable to a fresh rival, IMO... ...

This sums up my suggestion. Maybe start with a pinnacle patriot or an icon rival. Fresh, they have about the same HSS, but the pinnacle patriot actually has a bit more fade.

FD's are great. I can sometimes get a little bit more distance out of them. But in my experience, they need a little more room to work. Compared to an icon Patriot, sFD's turn more, and fade more....

I've only had a handful of throws with a 170g VIP Hatchet, but I'm pretty familiar with MVP's lineup.

The Hatchet doesn't really compare to the Volt or Servo. The Hatchet has way less HSS and LSS...

I wish there was better consistency across Icon Patriots.

I have a red 174g that's flat and gummy/fingerprinty. It flies with a little turn, lots of glide, and a little fade... Like a TL/JLS. I...

FWIW, I'm getting a little more turn & significantly more fade from my Servos, compared to my favorite Patriot. They go the same roughly the same distance for me, except the Patriot gets there on a...

I kinda get what you're saying. But, (IMO) MVP is missing a Leo/TL/QJLS/Patriot type disc: a little bit of turn, and a little bit of fade. I'm hoping this is how the Switch will fly for me (I can...

Based on the spacing at the bottom of this image (the "relative distance potential" section), I'm guessing there's going to be a future class of 12/13-speed distance drivers (21.5mm rim). Maybe MVP...

MVP's site lists rim width of their DD's as 20mm. This makes sense to me, as there's a 1.5mm step from the Resistor/Servo/Switch class to the Shock/Volt/Amp class. And, there's a 1.5mm step from...

If the Switch is a "fadeless servo" (or a faster axis) it is going to be replacing my favorite Patriot. And, I'll be throwing lots of Switches.

Patriots are really amazing discs, as is Legacy's...

"one of each" is the correct answer... but if you just want to try one, i'd start with star (unless you regularly put long-distance drivers past 430' or so). star has significantly more turn... and...

I have slightly less power than bobmcnelly, and I've thrown all three.

The Cannon. I've only thrown one, a mid-160's red icon. It has the most turn, and the most fade of all three. It's also...

Hopefully you ordered an Axis or a Tangent... One of these will work for you.

I feel like you're searching for a slightly-beat proton Axis.

About a month in, and my workhorse Servo (168g) is losing a little bit of HSS without losing much fade. It flys more like my 150g Servo (a bit more turn), which is still pretty fresh. I'm really...

For me, the Servo hits that point in it's flight where it decides, "I'm going to fade out now." For me, that's about 300' to 320' out.

My semi-seasoned Icon Patriot just goes straight. It turns...
