You shouldn't hit your max reachback until your front foot plants. Once you plant everything should unwind automatic because it's wound up to the max.

roflsocks has good advice there and I do agree with Mocheeze that you over rotate/ over heave your backswing still, I wouldn't try to keep the head still though, just less head turning back and forth...
