While not technically in WV, I would consider the 2 Armco courses in Ashland, KY close enough to WV (and Ohio) very near I-64. I drove 4 hours thru WV is get there.

Drive to the back of the park for the north course, I liked it better than the original one. Print a map ahead of time. Be prepared for some up and down hiking.

skip Canby in Delaware, it's the worst in the Wilmington area. Iron Hill is close to I-95 but not an easy or short course.

Victory Pk in Albion, MI is wonderful, lots of water in play on the back...

in 2006 I drove 80 minutes out of the way to play Ninigret Park to check off Rhode Island, it wasn't worth it but have heard it has improved since then.
