I agree that pink discs are great for just about any time of year/foliage conditions and am moving towards a mostly pink bag. You can spin dye if you like, but a dip in pink to color the entire disc...

My only guess based on that photo is that the starfire is actually a dx disc. I've tried to dye dx before and it always comes out very faint like that one. Are you sure it's star plastic?

Rubber cement will do a better job than wood glue for those seems because it remains flexible when dry. I also use rubber cement to cover cut lines in the vinyl where I don't want the dye to seep...
