I normally stick with fairway drivers (and beat in dx distance drivers) cause of my arm as well. I love the hyzer flip i can get with beat in dx drivers. Might be similar with a fresh River?

I have had the suggestion of beating the disc into a carpeted floor for a while. While this will take longer than doing it on concrete, it won't create any gashes. Seems like to much work though....
