that's just the way new materials start out cause they are well new. but as the straps bend and adjust to your shoulders as you wear it, it becomes the most comfortable thing to put on and take off...

It's the same material as the bottom of voodoo bags, very durable and resistant to tears and abrasion. This is the next best thing to rails or feet.
