You're right about it being based off the Ontario mold, it has Ontario tooling. I think all new cobras right now are Ontario tooled.

I wouldn't say that, I used to have a beat to hell dx gator that I threw on the same lines as a gold line fuse. Anything base plastic will get understable with enough use.

From what I've heard Star blend is actually cheaper to produce than Champion, they just charge more for it. I don't know if it quite gets down to pro levels of cheap though.

I think it only indicates it was recently stamped. It still has patent numbers on the back, I doubt they'd run any new discs with that on it still. I wouldn't worry about Star L molds suddenly...
