Tyler State Park: All holes in C position as of 8/16/09

Probably as a warmup for the Yetter. Actually hole 8 still seemed to be in B, not C, and hole 4 was mislabeled as A, but every other hole was in the long C position. One hell of a challenge. I saw...

Campgaw: How to tell which layout it's using?

Is there an easy way to find out which layout Campgaw / Mighty Gaw is using? Their website doesn't even mention the course, and I'd hate to waste a three-hour trip up there on the smaller layout.

Godard's entry

2 favorite courses: Tyler and Jordan Creek. Brakewell might be up there too but I've only played it once.

2 favorite discs: My 156-gram DX wraith, which is irritable but sometimes goes nice and...

I'd probably go against the grain and use:
166 DX Wraith (long and understable)
175 Star Starfire (long and overstable)
171 DX Aviar (putter, also for straight approach shots)

My aviar and...

Hey if you like the Birdie, buy 3 more Birdies. Places like Marshall Street even give a discount when you buy multiples. When you practice, throw all of them so they get broken in a bit, and when one...

That sounds like a really great weekend... you hit all the good courses in the area except for Little Lehigh. Doing Jordan, Nockamixon and South Mountain must have made your dogs bark.

Wolfe Woods at Brakewell Steel Warwick NY

Hey Brakewell regulars... Any reason Wolfe Woods wasn't added to the DB?

I went out of my way to play the Animal course and loved it, and now that I poke around the interwebs it looks like I...

$8 - $15 a disc? Why not retire it and get a new one? That disc on your wall will make you smile for years. At least I assume so... no aces yet for me.

If you're considering the spider, also check out the Pig. It's mad overstable for me, but it might be solid as a roc(k) for you.

I had been using the banshee for short hyzer shots, but the pig is...

I have a 172 pig and have only used it for practice. It is extremely overstable and doesn't go as far as the Rhyno for me. Perhaps a 150 pig would be better for me, but at this weight, it would only...

I guess an object course is a bit easier in that you could scrape the thing on the left side and it would count, whereas on a basket course it would bounce out. But I do prefer the finality of a...

An elevated pin all by itself tends to look silly. I would make sure that you add a bunker on one side to make it a bit more interesting... dig out a hole on, say, the right side, and use the dirt to...

Also try something more overstable like a pro Rhyno, it will hold its line longer and will not be beaten in quite so quickly. Plus your throwing style may not favor a Roc.

I have 3 different rocs...

This is excellent advice. You should be able to find at least 6 great holes this way, spread out throughout the acreage. Then all you have to do is create 12 OK holes to link everything together.

If you're trying to throw 200' and THEN have it roll, I'm pretty sure that's an expert-type shot (I have trouble throwing 250' period, never mind have it still turning over). There is so much margin...

We call this "Yorking" or "New Yorking". It tends to go like this:

"Great shot! Right down the middle!"
"Dude don't York me like that!"
Then a branch appears in the middle of the fairway and...
