If you're coming in on a steep hyzer, the disc is going to have a chance to roll no matter what it is. I have seen a lot of new players heaving their discs out on a hyzer and not making the disc fly...

Collecting doesn't affect anyone but collectors.

I throw 10yr Buzzzes because I picked up a few and I like them. I've even bought some here when the price was right and I'll spend up to $20 on a...

Get a more stable GL River: domey, max weight, in stiff plastic. The River seemed to work for you, so why not just use that?

Otherwise, you can learn to do throw the shot you're looking for with...

There's no reason to force yourself to choose between them if they both do something different for you that you like. The idea that all overlap is bad and the more ascetic the mold minimalism the...

It's the harder (I think officially called medium) Proton. I got it after MVP changed Proton to a candy type plastic, but before they released Neutron.

My putting putter is a Neutron Ion that I...

You can beat an Ion into flippyness. The first Ion I ever bought has more turn that a fresh PA2 or Magic, but it needed more than two years of almost daily play to get there. Once it's there though:...

I love throwing putters and you really can't go wrong with any of them. Magnets, Aviars, Magics, Wizards, Ions, Anodes, Envies, PA4s, Judges, Pures: they are all good.

I used to throw Wizards and...

That was my impression when I threw it.

I didn't throw it head to head, and only got a handful of tosses with the Buzzz OS, but it struck me as a Hornet with slightly less glide and a superior...

I bag both regular 12x and FAF Firebirds. The regular 12x is 166g, beautifully pearly, and sports a very slight dome. It easily flies farther than a Banshee for me -- you should try a slightly domey...

I think Gold Line from Lat 64 is the worst. Second place goes to new Proton from MVP. The funny thing is, I throw only one Lat disc and it's a GL River and one MVP disc and, except for the putting...

I do think the gyro effect of the rim is minimal, but it is there. When it comes down to it, sometimes tiny fractions of difference do come into play in a sport. This is true of any sports equipment,...

There's no way the flatness of a disc is going to create an appreciable increase in speed. If that's the case, then my FAF Firebird must be speed 11 wooo! I've been waiting for a speed 11 FB and now...

Flight numbers are a good guide for newer players. They're also a marketing device. When you realize that every disc is unique though, flight numbers cease to be as useful.

I throw a 168g and it's just fine. When I got it, I could throw it as hard as possible and only see a tiny bit of turn (just more glide really).
