I used to throw Teebirds and Destroyers, but now I throw mostly Thunderbirds and Destroyers. I think there is a little more separation between Thunderbirds and my mids than there is with Teebirds. ...

Maybe it means they aren't planning on ever doing a DX version of the Shryke, which would make sense given it's already a pretty understable high speed driver. They've never done DX Terns after all,...

Anybody else digging the stamp on the Star Shryke on the Innova dealer page? I really like it. They don't usually put the animal picture on the Star plastic versions of discs; I wonder if they're...

Sounds like a Destroyer to me. Stars these days are pretty overstable so that might be more than you want. Try a GStar or Pro, preferably a pop top for a little extra stability.

Sounds flippier than the Grooves I've thrown. I understand there were flippy Grooves out there, but I never threw one. All the Grooves I threw were much closer to Destroyer numbers (-1 or maybe...

Oh and Sexton Firebirds are fairly mild for Firebirds which means they are someone similar in flight to a Brinster Teebird or Star Thunderbird.

First run (2013) Brinsters are the most overstable of the Brinsters. 2013 AJ Star Teebirds are almost as overstable if you're into paying for OOP discs. DX Thunderbirds actually start out the most...

I noticed the other day that DGU has ColorGlow KC Pro Rocs and Aviars, which also seemed really interesting. Baseline ColorGlow seems to be a new thing (as far as I know at least). It seems like...

Oh and if anyone has both a Shryke and a Colossus, I'd be interested to see some comparison pics of the 2.

So I got my GStar Shryke yesterday but I haven't had a chance to throw it yet. I did take a couple comparison pics with a GStar Destroyer here (Red Shryke, Orange Destroyer):...

Buy the DX Gator in person and look for minimal dome (a little is okay but not too much). I ordered one online once and got a turd with a huge pop top that flew like a Roc. Otherwise, I'd recommend...

I'd go with a Star TL. I have a Patriot and mine at least is not nearly as straight as advertised (hyzers like a Teebird), but I think Legacy can be pretty inconsistent (as can Innova although I...

I guess I'm one of the non-polarized people. I have a Comet, and I don't dislike it, but I don't bag it either. It's a nice disc; on a hyzer flip I can make it go dead straight out to ~325 or so. ...

^ Agreed on both counts. I'm putting daggers and they start out a little overstable, similar to a big bead Aviar, at least for putting (BB Aviar might be slightly more overstable on drives). They...

I saw a Tobu disc demoed at the bsf earlier this year. Kind of cool, looked easy to find your disc. However, didn't seem worth switching to one of their disc models or the potential for breaking and...

Aha, so all those mint CE discs sold on eBay for hundreds of dollars are really just being sold by Innova to make a killing on their stacks of old plastic! Conspiracy theory confirmed! ;)

The way I see it used here on DGCR, I think "Fairway" would be speeds 6-8 and "Control" would be 9-10. However, out in the real world, especially in Trilogy brands, they seem to call a lot of speed...

I'd say yes on the Colt, Chief, and Shaman. Colt and Chief tend to be more straight/neutral while I think the Shaman is a little more understable. I'd also add the Prodigy PA4 to the mix, which is...

Oh, I don't think you can really make a lot of generalities about stiffness either. I've handled lots of JL and pre-JL both on the stiff and less stiff sides. Some of the earliest JL was gummier...

Innova just tweeted this:

That image look like a GStar kittie to me.
