I think you're on the right track, updating tee signs that are off more than 10 ft.

Anything less is negligible, and shouldn't affect disc or shot selection.

I'm not a big fan of Houck designed courses. The exception would be Pease Park. Both the 18 and 21 hole layouts were great, although I liked the 21 hole layout best.
