ok, when i first started out (about a year and a half ago) all i threw was a forhand drive. it took a few months to build up but eventually i could do what i wanted with it (as far as beginners go)...

i havent noticed any joint pain but i do notice it kind of wearing the inside of my index finger down. i wouldnt say it blisters, but it definitely hurts after a while
