Why not just throw the disc as hard as you can...

Why not just throw the disc as hard as you can straight down? I think you'd have to put spin on it to get the speed. Like off a bridge. And that makes me wonder how a disc would fly if thrown...

Where have you encountered this?? I dont think ive ever met anyone trying to get disc golfers to dress nicer. Foot golf, on the other hand, is really pushing that way in tournaments.
