They would increase the number of putts per round making our scoring more similar to that of ball golf. Is that a good thing? I doubt it. No one thinks the tap in is the most exciting shot in golf.

Also- when I started playing there was only dx plastic and WAY fewer molds available so cycling was the natural choice.
