If I were you, I might jump over to disc golf center and buy a 175 pink xt pro aviar. I heard xt feels similar to dx but more grippy and stiffer.

Most of the pros actually don't hop. Staying low to the ground is important in conserving energy in your throw and transferring your momentum to the disc. The only pro I've seen that hops is brinster.
