You don't scream at your discs enough.
Really though, you start your big movement sideways. When I do that it hinders my hip movement.
I do 5 steps, right (small step), left (small step), Right(turning step), Left (x step), and Right(Big step for drive)
If I do 3 I can't do my turn very well, I also lose a lot of follow through.
