Slow everything down when throwing your Rocs.
I've only been playing for 2 yrs so I am by no means an expert but; I throw Rocs and Buzzzes and IMO the Buzzz is better for longer straight/turn shots when you are going to throw with more power and the Roc is better for overall control/approach. So because of that if I am throwing a Buzzz it is usually full power for super straight/turning shots. When I first started throwing Rocs I was encountering the same problems you are talking about but I found slowing everything down helped me out a ton and not trying to over throw them but just focusing on accuracy and then use the Buzzz when you want to put more on it...Just my opinion
