Actually, the other response (or more like a reaction) is pretty revealing as to the potential future dealings with a vendor if there is an issue or problem with your purchase. Do they put customer ahead or take a defensive posture?
Remember, you are always representing your service/product/club in any public engagement (forums, social media, etc.).
