For the longest time I would hold/throw a putter on a drive the same way I would hold a mid. I would use what I think is a "stack" fan grip. I lately had to take my pinky off of the rim so I am only holding it mainly between my index finger, and thumb because I was flipping the disc too much. Is this normal? How do you hold a putter on a non-putt throw?
