I'd be very interested to know how much of a gyroscopic effect it would have on the disc if you tried to make the lightest plastic mold possible and focus the bulk of the weight to the rubber rim and adjust that to make weight differences (but I suppose that would make heavier and lighter ones fly drastically different...).
Just some curious thoughts.
