Final 9 - Tie at 4th.

Scenario: 2 Day 54 Hole tournament with a final 9 for top 4 in division.
Dilemma: There are 3 players tied for 4th place after the 54 regulation holes.

How will you handle this? Playoff? Two cards playing the final?

Your answer is in sections 1.8 and 1.9 of the Competition Manual. Sudden death for the slot if alternative procedure (like all tied players advancing) wasn't announced in advance.

what i do at my event is to allow both players in if it is a 2 player tie and have a playoff to get in if more than 2 are tied. i don't want more than 5 in the final. (and it is in print in advance)
