Port-O-Potty Cost

actually i got the one for the mid-atlantic... we've been paying $125 for a month rental which seems to be the going rate around here.

considering that they send 2 people 35 miles out with a truck to deliver it and again to pick it up AND they still have to dispose of the contents i don't see how they make money doing it. the fact that those in wisconsin are that much cheaper blows my mind.

Also consider maintenance. The public typically don't care about these types of facilities, and will damage, steal supplies, tag/deface, etc. It would be prudent to have a couple brave volunteers from your club tidy the port-o-potty up from time to time.

I was recently at a local course in a City park, where the city installed a pit toilet inside a pre-cast concrete building. Vandals torched the plastic toilet, and now there's nothing but a puddle of melted plastic in a hole, and the melted remnants of a toilet paper holder.

People disgust me. ***Slightly off topic*** Also at this course, there were 5 gallon pails at most tee pads for trash. That didn't seem to stop people from littering. I ended up cleaning up because everyone should do their part; home course or not.

^^^It's Burnaby---close to inner city Vancouver. We have the same issue in Pier Park OR---beautiful place, know-nothing students and post-teeners who could care less.

Never rented one for a month..but have rented them several times for tournaments (one weekend). Unfortunately there is no competition here in humboldt, Ca so the rates are pretty high..its about $90 for a weekend.
