Team games
I was wondering if their were any different ways to play as teams. I know about scrambles and doubles but i have a couple groups of friends who play, as well as know groups from other schools and was trying to think of ways to start a competition.
Last night i was working at a bowling tournament and it gave me an idea. They played in what they called a baker format. Basically you have 5 players and each one bowls a frame then repeats like a batting order. I figured it would be a cool way to do 3v3. Player 1 plays holes 1,4,7,10,13, and 16. Player 2 plays holes 2,5,8,11,14,17. Player 3 plays holes 3,6,9,12,15,18. Is their anything like this? What do you guys think. It focuses more on everybody needing to do well instead of doubles where you have a redemption shot. It also has some strategy. Such as "toms terrible at hole 8 so dont make him player 2" Or "Jim aced hole #9 twice last month you better make him player 3" |

Pretty neat Idea!
another one is: Player 1 tee's off player 2 takes second shot player 3 takes 3rd shot. Ect... Whoever puts the disc in the basket tee's off next hole and keeps the rotation same.

I'd hate to carry a bag and not be able to play the hole I'm currently on.

If you want focus on everyone doing well, play worst shot?
Not particularly entertaining really, but you really don't want to be the guy messing up there.

I've run a Triple Team Tourney in the past and have one were doing in April. Search Triple Team under tournaments and the formats are discussed there.

We've played it as individuals---it was quite entertaining. But don't play worst shot with someone who has frustration issues--so sad.

Here's what I think would be a fun triples format.
- All three players drive. Team then picks the best of the three drives. - For whomever's drive gets picked, have the other two players play best shot from there until the hole concludes. - The player who who's drive got picked then has to pick the better of the remaining two lies and play as a single from there until the hole concludes. - The worst of the two discs after both the single player and the pair hole out is the team score.
