Trees as bag hangers?



On holes 2 & 3 at Southern Community in Chapel Hill, NC, I came across these today. Somebody took a tree, turned it upside down, and cemented it in the ground so that you can use the roots as bag hangers.

This is brilliantly clever IMO. My only critique is that they might want to file the points down into a blunt, rounded shape so that nobody stabs themselves somehow.

Neat idea! Around here we can just use any nearby tree because people don't know how to trim properly when they do maintenance.
