I putt with an older ion for normal putts but for severe uphill putts, anhyzer putts, and escape shots I use a 150 Aero which will not fail to go right at low speeds.

I carry a beat ion for that. When I first got my eclipse ions I designated one for the turnover slot and spent a long time playing parking lot catch with a friend. We would throw thumbers, grenades, skip shots, sky annies and sky hyzers with it and let it land on the asphalt. The hard hits didn't do much at all to the stability but slowly the wear on the bead made it understable like I wanted. Now it will turnover on a full power hyzer flip and does some of the sweetest annhyzers. The glide it picked up is also amazing. I would hate to lose it now. I bet we spent 7-8 hours in the parking lot and it's been bagged all season.

It costs $.35 more on the wholesale side than proton so retailers may charge a little more for it than they do the proton stuff.

There isn't an MVP disc that I like for this, although I have one Anode that is breaking in a bit...not sure if it'll ever lose enough to cover this shot the way I like to - not at shorter distances. I'm talking about a flip-to-flat-to-flat-turn shot...anny angles are no problem for MVP and most putters. A worn dx XD is money for this, and a Magic is great as well. Wedge is definitely worth considering, too, but I just couldn't get comfy with the rim on it.

I traded someone for an ION and I'm not sure if it's a first run or not. The overmold does not have any embossing on it and it does have that "textured" bottom. The color kinda reminds me of a werther's toffee candy. The stamp has been wiped but i can still see the ghost of the markings and it doesn't say proton or eclipse or anything like that. I don't know if the toffee color is a result of a bad dye attempt or what.

Sorry for no pic. Can anybody tell me what I might have based off my description?
