I like playing ball golf, but like DG WAY more. It's quicker, easier to get in a round, WAY less snobby clientele, oh and a boat load cheaper. I'd love to play ball golf more, but when it's so expensive versus DG which is free, it's hard to choose to pay.

It's a shame too, my wife loves to BG, but it gets way more expensive when you have to pay two green fees....

Haven't touched a club since i picked up my first disc. Same hours for my dad, and he runs two (ball) golf courses.

If he runs ball golf courses then even a casual round of ball golf might feel like work to him, whereas disc golf is like getting away. I know a few guys that work in the disc industry and while they play the occasional round here and there, they still mentally feel tied to work when they're around discs, so they play a lot more ball golf. It's more relaxing for them.

Never really played except a few times in high school. I just don't have the time for it now so it's not something I ever see me doing..

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes.

I have played more golf in the last month than I have played DG . My Pastor lives on a golf course, and the first time I ever played with him, I hit a 335yd drive behind his house. It was just off the fairway, but good enough to leave me a 5i into the par-5. He has been taking me out to play a few times this summer just because he "likes to see the long ball." .

play ball golf about 7-8 times a year....30$ a round (which actually turns out to cost way more with beer food and the whole pack of smokes you go though...and tipping the good looking beer cart girl...so conservativly 60-70$ a round) I prefer disc golf

I like to play it. I don't play it well...at all. But I do enjoy a round of ball golf every now and then. If it was a little more affordable I would probably do it a lot more. Lately I only play for work events and such.

I love to play ball golf. And I used to play several times a year. I've even got a custom set of clubs rusting in my garage. But last year, not once and it doesn't look that promising to play this year either. Cost & crowds are the main reasons. And my constant disc golfing partner, my wife, doesn't bolf.

Got a few new discs a couple of weeks ago...... headed directly to the course to give 'em a whirl. Got a brand new set of golf clubs for father's day.....2 years ago..... still have not played a round with them.
I may use them someday, but for now I'm left wondering how much plastic and dyeing supplies I could have had if I had only been introduced to disc golf a few months earlier
