New Westside Discs for 2013
Still 4 months at the least away from release, but here they are:
1. Westside Stag - Overstable control driver. Giant upper mold, new lower mold. 2. Westside Underworld - All new mold, understable control driver. 3. Westside Tursas - Understable mid. Warship top, newly designed bottom. Prototypes should be flying at some point this months, and they say that the stamp designs are already complete, so who knows when exactly these will be released, but personally I'm excited to see them fill in their fairway/control driver type slots. http://www.westside.fi/ |

what constitutes "control driver" ??
I was under the impression the control driver category was always reserved for neutral flying discs. Overstable and Understable kind of defeats the purpose.

soooo
Stag if by O/S control driver they mean something like a Saint...in terms of a control driver...in that it is a speed 9 type disc and if it is going to be a bit more stable than the Saint then I am going to be very interested but if it is going to be over speed 11 (given the Giant top) then maybe I'm not so interested interesting overall nonetheless

mega speeds 11/12+ being less easy to control but 9/10's being easier to control flight and landing in comparison, although shorter but I could be quite wrong

^ I agree, though the term is certainly open to interpretation. Control referring to speed and not stability.

I will try anything from Westside speed 9 and lower, so I am pumped about the Underworld and Tursas. Hopefully the Stag will be workable for me, too.
I'd also like to see something to complement the Swan...

Figure they have higher speed stuff covered with the Northman, Boatman, Sword, Giant and King. So these new drivers have to fall into that speed 9-7 category for what those numbers are worth.
My only hope is that they're not out to ape the River and Saint, but to offer something slightly different. |

I love Lat 64/Westside! I'm all for these control drivers

Kinda what I was thinking too. Something more along the lines of a TL would be nice for the understable control driver slot.
