Question about 2 different Z Stalkers.

I just recently purchased a discraft misprint bundle and received 2 Elite Z Stalkers in it. I noticed one is a First Run Z Stalker, and the other is a Franklin Fling tourny stamped Z Stalker. I saw that the Franklin Fling is more curved on top, whereas the First run is pretty flat.

Does anyone know the difference with these 2 Z Stalkers? Will I see a noticeable throw difference?

That sounds strange.
The stalker hasn't been out that long. Don't know why they'd already change the mold. I can't say for sure, but all things being equal, I'd expect the flatter top to be more stable than the domier verision.

Yeah I thought it was strange as well. I did some research and found the Franklin Fling to be the Z Surge disc. It looks a little domier than the First run Z Surge, but not a ton. It's noticeable if you are looking for it. The Franklin fling was dated for August 2009 as well.

Just to add another disc to the equation. I have three Avenger SS's in either ESP or CryZtal. One ESP is really domey, one is really flat. The really flat one was given to me and it probably really old and has been stuffed in someone's bag long enough that it lost it's dome. The one I have in CryZtal is a tourney disc that appears a little flatter than my domey ESP but not as flat as my flat ESP. As far as flight is concerned the only thing that I have noticed is that the really flat ESP one seems to be more overstable than the other two. Not sure why. I wonder if someone along the way tried to change the disc or if it just got squashed in a hot car. This is not to say that Discraft is not super consistent as far as discs are concerned. I would throw your two discs and see what you find. I would guess they will end up very similar.

It might not be a mold change, just a difference in dome between runs.
