Detroit Area

So I am heading to a Tigers game on Friday and I took the day off, I would like to hit up a course on the way there or home that's off 96 that's pretty decent. Any ideas? I'm going with my girlfriend so i don't want to go to much "out of the way" We are staying at the Motor City Casino

The Burchfield courses near Lansing (Holt) are worth a visit. Kensington metropark is your other best option, conveniently just off the expressway.

I have played one of the Burchfield, and I just want to play somewhere on the eastern side as I haven't played in any courses that way.

I started playing disc golf in the Detroit area when I lived there. Wagner was my first course. It's not really the best area for courses. Kensington is likely the most difficult course in the area. Firefighters is very popular, but most here would likely find it far too easy. A whole bunch of really easy courses there. That's basically it as far as I recall.

Why didn't Winston take advantage of me instead?

Kensington is your best bet. It just off of 96 and it's a great course. $5 to get in the park and $2 to play.

Depends on who is working the booth. Sometimes they make walkers pay, sometimes not.

Kensington is your best bet. Super convenient. Also, it should not be busy at all. Play the holes 19-27 once from the longs and once from the shorts. The front 18, other than hole 1 and hole 3, are just average. Those last 9 are the best consecutive 9 holes in the state.

Ya kensigton hands down. I doubt theyll make her pay if she aint playin, but its possible. Regardless, The 2 extra bucks still beats out your other options. kensington got they own exit off 96 so its easily The least out of The way too.

Dude, hit up KFrad, you know that.

He recommended Kensington to me when he came up here, and told me when I make it down that way, he was going to take me there.
